Spit A Blessing

This book was written so that I could share some of the experiences and lessons I learned while living and working in Sotik, Kenya in East Africa.

I was a young woman trying my best to fit into
a culture that was not my own. There were awkward and sometimes painful events that occurred as I was being transformed into the person God was making me into.

Whatever the encounter, I was blessed (whether
I realized it at the time or not).

Put yourself in the stories, think of how you would have reacted in the same situations. Hopefully, you will take away a better understanding of yourself and God's sovereignty, like I was able to do.

Come on, your safari is waiting to begin!!

Here are a couple of reviews:

««««« “What a page turner! It was hard to put it down. The author candidly tells her story in such a way that you feel like you are there! I am looking forward to reading more from this talented author and hope she continues telling her story!”   turklebird (Virginia)

««««« “It was easy to read and got me hooked from page one. Couldn't stop reading it until the end and then I wanted to read it again! It has great pictures with captions, and everything about it is inviting: the narrative, the format, the tone. The questions at the end of the book for each chapter got me thinking and gave it a dimension I had never experienced before in a book. More than a good read, it felt like a trip to Africa with a real family of missionaries. The honesty of the author made me feel close to her, and each story told made me feel like it had happened to me. I don't know if I could be THAT honest about my private life, but I was thankful Laurie Wall Bates did, because she gave me a big lesson in humility and making the best of every situation. I really look forward to her next book!!!”    Lucia Ayala (Montevideo, Uruguay)

Hope you enjoy it too!!!
